your iphone can scan?..

scannerpro.jpg

Scanner Pro Transforms iPhone into a Scanner

Can I say how much I love my iphone, I waited purposely for it because I was hoping for a product that offered that all-in-one option…and I can’t say enough how I love this expensive, pricey, overly priced, really pricey, really expensive little black..square.

Now I just read how you can download an app that allows you to scan…what? yep. Scan!. Thing is it’s $6.99..see I would pay for music, but for apps…mmm still a little bit cheapo on that..but if this has good reviews I might think about it..

Scanner Pro can be purchased in the Apple App Store for $6.99.

Is there nothing this man cannot buy..I know it’s just a magazine but he’s filthy rich..I want to know how and why, I feel like some Madoff scam is going to reveal itself - it’s just impossible for one person to be this rich..

smith & mamasita..

img_0440.jpg

Finally tried to get mom to use her Christmas certificate from 2 years ago so ventured to Glastonbury to the Pendleton store…it was a bust, expensivo and no sales which I was surprised..Smith & Hawken’s was going out of business so we took a look..another bust..people must be making the big bucks up that way..

Though ironically my mom spotted a photo - American Girl in Italy by Ruth Orkin - it’s the same photo that we have in her tailor shop - The Dressmaker & Tailor - in Milford..

She’s gotten so many compliments - I bought it for her from IKEA when she first opened the store and since she’s had about 40 inquiries about it..IKEA sold out so I ended up finding a high res image online and sent it to Grand4Mat.com to get a print - cost me $25 and sold the print for $50..not too shabby..

guns and roses..

Ahh..A band I still love..

I was reading an interview with Duff McKagan, formerly of GnR and it brought me back to the days I would dig to find anything about them, I would go to the magazine isle to read MetalEdge magazine, had the pins and posters..recorded tapes whenever they were on the radio..

I started listening to “heavy metal” when I was 6. Yes, 6. My “cousin” Louis and his older brother were huge into the Black Sabbath, Ozzy and ACDC scene so for christmas Louis would make me mixed tapes of his favorite songs, including some 60’s music like Jimi Hendrix, Led Zep, Janis..

So that started the fascination, then the 80’s rolled in with MTV and all the hair bands and I was hooked..what a geek I was..

Yes, was…. :)
