A friend posted that she was listening to the song by Judy Garland..I vaguely remember hearing it before but I know that line all too well..

I don’t think he got away in my situation, I think he just left. He didn’t really want to be in a relationship, I had never been in one and he was way too young and I was way too inexperienced. Plus there was the whole job thing - we worked together and he was just looking for a fling. I wasn’t.

So it didn’t work as I thought it would. Yes, I still think maybe it would have been something great if fate had presented itself but I guess nope.

Ah..nope.

Hopefully I’ll snag the next one that comes my way, seems I like I waited the 7 leap years so maybe my luck will change this time..

Ahh..A band I still love..

I was reading an interview with Duff McKagan, formerly of GnR and it brought me back to the days I would dig to find anything about them, I would go to the magazine isle to read MetalEdge magazine, had the pins and posters..recorded tapes whenever they were on the radio..

I started listening to “heavy metal” when I was 6. Yes, 6. My “cousin” Louis and his older brother were huge into the Black Sabbath, Ozzy and ACDC scene so for christmas Louis would make me mixed tapes of his favorite songs, including some 60’s music like Jimi Hendrix, Led Zep, Janis..

So that started the fascination, then the 80’s rolled in with MTV and all the hair bands and I was hooked..what a geek I was..

I stumbled upon an article that Julian Casablancas was coming out with a solo album so of course being a Strokes fan I had to find out more..

Turns out the single “11th Dimension,” is out on ITunes but no album just yet…I just listened to it and 80’s feel for sure and different from The Strokes..

I feel like there’s some Darryl Hall & John, some band from the 80’s that I forget and Neverending Story soundtrack mixed in..his voice is velvety electronic..
